"Barry Koral is the owner of Koral's Tropical Fruit Farm in Vista, CA.  He is also an international raw fruit broker and distributor, author, motivational speaker and metaphysical artist.  He is a promoter of the Art of Healthy Living at all ages, former co-owner of Escondido Juice and Natural Food store in southern California during the 1970's.  He is a former member of One World Family Vegetarian Commune (Berkeley, CA).  He is currently celebrating over a decade of following a raw food lifestyle and consciousness and owner of an artistically unique farm incorporating Living Art and Living Food.

For the last 14 years he has owned Koral's Tropical Fruit Farm and have been growing a wide variety of subtropical and tropical fruits.  Amongst them are: white and black sapotes, cherimoyas, mexican, brazilian and pineapple guavas, fuyu and hachiya persimmons, pomegranates, passion fruit, 8 varieties of figs, 4 varieties of apples, 4 varieties of avocados, 2 varieties of blood oranges, various citrus trees, aloe vera and seasonal vegetable gardens, as well.  He has approximately 175 trees on his under 2 acre parcel.

Every Sunday Barry loads crates of fruit into his van and transports the produce to the Hillcrest Farmers Market in San Diego. He covers the tables with brightly colored tapestries and display the fruit in attractive hand-woven baskets.  It is quite a scene to observe Barry at the market because he is among the most vocal of entrepreneurs extolling the virtues of his exotic produce like a carnival barker while educating customers about the preparation and nutritional value of his produce.  The thing that distinguishes him from other vendors, even those that sell similar items is the knowledge that he offers to the public.  He also offers a mail order business where fruit is shipped throughout the country. One of Barry's exclusive customers for 4 years, has been a raw fruit distributor in France that sells to 5 different countries.

Barry feels, the vegan raw food lifestyle, is a way of thinking, a credo for living and making a difference in one's health.  By solely eating live food, he has elevated his well-being, vitality and productivity.  Also he has eliminated a lot of the symptoms associated with aging.  He chooses this lifestyle because he loves high quality fruit, the beneficial effects it has on the body and what can be offered to the world by distributing them.  His initial vision was to take control over his own personal food source, realizing that the origin of one's food is charting your "health destiny."  Health ultimately comes through being in harmony with nature.  This is the natural result of cultivating a lifestyle based on positive thinking and eating a wide variety of vibrant living foods." source

Personal Experience: I had known about Barry and his farm for several years but never felt the time was right to contact him.  Well, it finally happened.  He and his residency exceeded all of my expectations.  Barry is an incredibly intelligent and talented man who is full of charisma and the knowledge necessary to create a positive shift in our city. I left feeling charged and inspired to take further steps in improving my own health as well as continuing to create beauty in this world.  He emits the type of contagious energy that you ALL should want to soak up!
