WHY WE DON'T GIVE

 DIRECTIONS TO ALL

LOCATIONS

May 6, 2015

This is a rather sensitive topic not only to me, but many other people as well.  When I first started this site, all spots came with directions.  As my site gained popularity, word would spread and suddenly these "top-secret spots" were not only no longer secret but slowly getting destroyed!  I quickly realized that it is my duty to help protect these historical landmarks, especially since many of them have been around for over 100 years. For them to be leveled by the city or vandalized by douchebags because I have spotlighted them does not weigh well on my conscience.  I am sorry if that upsets some people.

I have personally had the cops contact me to remove directions to locations, had countless residents tell me that their homes are being broken into and tagged on because they live near a "hidden spot" and often when I return to some of these spots they are 10 times worse than they were before.  For that reason, I created the Member's section.  This section was created so those who are respectful can still appreciate these locations, but hoards and hoards of people will not be going out to them. Beyond all of this, 95% of the places I don't give directions to are on Private Property!

Here is one example of a spot that quite possibly was leveled by the city because of my site and why I am only getting more strict with what spots I give directions to: Pentagram Palace. This place had been around since the early 1900's, hidden in the PQ canyon:

Before:

After I published it:

Every once in awhile I will get a reader that is just infuriated with me for witholding directions from them.  I hate to say it, but if you don't understand why I have to do this then you are probably part of the problem.  Please read some of my favorite love letters:

I hope more people understand why we do what we do now.  Happy exploring. :)
