Nestled in the hills of the San Pasqual Valley in Escondido, you'll find Cordiano Winery, a family-owned and operated vineyard that takes pride in the craftsmanship of good wine and of the labor practiced for ages in the old country. The winery is a lifelong dream realized; a reflection of the love and passion of its proprietors, Gerardo and Rosa Cordiano.
Personal Experience: Wow, what a location! So far, this is the most beautiful winery I've been to in San Diego thanks to the breath-taking view they have! I can only imagine what it looks like throughout the year with the different seasons and weather conditions. There was a lovely spring breeze blowing through when we came which added a wonderful touch to the experience. Not only are they a winery but also a mini-restaurant with authentic-Italian cuisine. I ordered a Margherita pizza and house salad with an orange zest dressing that I've never tasted anything quite like it before. I had one of their Cabernet Sauvignon wines and boy was it tasty! This is a family-run Italian business. I had the pleasure to meet several of the owners who were extremely friendly and hospitable. I will definitely be coming back again.
