Personal Experience: This is a short yet enjoyable 1-mile loop. Because it is completely shaded by eucalyptus trees, even in the summer it will feel cooler than most other hiking trails. We hiked after a rainfall and the smell of eucalyptus was in the air. It was so nice. It appears the trail is lined with trees that burned down in the wildfire that swept through this town years back and the offspring are the trees we now see in the forest.
Don't expect a crazy adventure, but it's very kid and dog-friendly. You may find a secret out here if you look really hard. ;)
