Personal Experience: Well this was definitely one heck of an adventure! I have a water-logged/broken phone to prove it! Make sure your phone isn’t still in your pocket if you embark on this trip. 😛 I could literally find no information on this waterfall besides what our friends posted about it. Eventually we plan on following the creek to its main water source but that will be another day.
There are two entrances to this area: from above in which you must ascend down a steep cliff into the ravine or from below which is much easier. From above is the challenge, which we took. We came across a cave, ponds with California Tree Frogs and tadpoles, very interesting artwork etched into the sandstone cliffs and of course the waterfall.
This is not necessarily a safe trip, so please make sure you’re in good shape if you decide to go here.
If you can make it through the very wet ravine, there is a special treat at the end:There were adorable tree frogs swimming in the water with us!This was probably the deepest part:A cool, little cave:It’s nearly impossible to tell what you’re looking at in the photo on the right, but we are at the top of the waterfall, about 75 feet up:Down we go! The photo on the right shows where we just came from:Aaaannnnddd we made it!
