Dog-Friendly: On outside, yes    Kid-Friendly: Yes

Personal Experience: I have visited this monastery on numerous occasions and have only experienced kindness and grace from the people. Although small in comparison to Deer Park Monastery, which is also located in Escondido, this spot is packed with beauty to feast your eyes on.

My grandpa is 93 in this photo and still going on adventures and exposing himself to new experiences.  He instilled adventure in my mom who instilled it in me.  Love this photo of him:

You guys are all so funny. This tunnel takes 5 minutes to walk. There is only a very small period where you cannot see the other side. There is NOTHING scary about it unless you maybe go at night and run into one of the homeless that live here. To the person below, all photos are from the same tunnel. These are not multiple spots. We have many crazy adventures on our site but this is not one of them.

I really enjoyed being here. There was so much to see if you’re paying attention. It’s small but like I said if you take your time looking at everything it can take you a while. There was only one older couple that was ahead of us so it felt like the whole place was to ourselves. Inside they were praying because we could here the chanting and instrument sound. I will definitely be back.
