The Abandoned Pump House is part of our Members section

Note: We will not be giving directions to the two unfilled wells for safety reasons

I do not have any information on this abandoned pump house yet but there is fire evidence which suggests a reason for its abandonment.  Nearby we found slight remains of a homestead and two deep wells.  The wells are easy to miss and off a lightly-beaten path.  It was impossible for me to capture their actual depth but both go deep!  They're the largest wells I've ever personally seen.

This area gets hot in the summer and is suggested as a cooler-season hike.  Because this is an abandoned spot, there is a lot of overgrowth which increases chances of a run-in with a rattlesnake.  This is largely why we are suggesting to go when it's cool out.

We came across 6 wells total during this trip, 4 which were filled:

We also found the small remains of what may have been an old homestead.  There is still a stone wall and two wells:

These wells are long forgotten and we only found them by following a faint, overgrown trail.  They open up to a whole world inside though which my camera could NOT accurately capture the depth unfortunately!

The 2nd well. These wells are actually super-deep, unlike what the photos are suggesting:

Some old belongings we found: a fan, pottery shard and bottle:
