CAVE 2 IS PART OF OUR MEMBERS SECTION

Dog-Friendly: No    Kid-Friendly: Part of the hike, yes.  The climb up the rocks is not kid safe

Personal Experience: I was pretty shocked when I learned of caves in this area.  I have been visiting the area below for years with no clue of the world above.  The hike to the caves is family and dog-friendly but the actual caves and rock-exploring is pretty dangerous.  I would absolutely not recommend any children and definitely no dogs to explore this area.  You could easily fall to your death or get seriously injured.

Note that there is no public parking near the trailhead so you will have to find it a few blocks down and walk over.

That is our destination ahead:

The initial hike started off with family, friends and my pup but ended with just me and one other person. Not safe!

This is not the easiest trail:

All this graffiti is SUCH a shame.  Respect nature!

Nice photography. I’m trying to remember: there’s a special name for ‘caves’ made by nested boulders.

If you really respected nature as your comment states above you would kindly remove this post as well as the picture on the IG post for it. This spot gets more trash and graffiti weekly from people who visit. I too used to live below this spot and saw how it would get more and more ruined as the word about this place got out. People simply just do not respect nature, especially where there is trash and graffiti already there. They just add to it! Please, please remove.

I don’t appreciate you posting LOCATIONS like this one on your website. I have lived all 30 years of my life on the road directly below this rock. I have seen transform from a beautiful hikers’ paradise to a graffiti, trash-littered haven for teens who have no respect for nature. Last year there was a fire set by 3 boys playing with fire crackers at 11 PM in the middle of July!! There’s always beer cans AND broken beer glasses in front of our homes left by disrespectful kids hiking up there for a good time.
