Personal Experience: I have been hearing about these caves since I was a teenager. Fast forward 16 years and I FINALLY got to explore them! I completely wussed out on the Popcorn cave and am really surprised that there is tagging on it and people brave enough to risk their lives to get inside. The cave is nothing too interesting inside going by what my friends have told me. I would not risk your life to see it. If you do though, bring rope. That’s my advice. The hike is not as strenuous as it appears. This is a fun adventure. We also found some old ruins of the past down below from an old ranch.
You have to climb!
The first cave we found was the Gnome Cave with little gnomes inside, hence the name:
The views are remarkable!
I can see why it’s called the Popcorn Cave, it definitely looks like popped corn:
This is the entrance to the cave. In no way is this worth risking one’s life to enter, especially considering the cave is not that impressive at all!
We also found evidence of an old homestead out here!
